SEO-first web development for local home remodeling business

Scope

Iconic Cabinetry, a home remodeling company serving the Greater Seattle area, hired me to develop a custom, SEO-driven, lead-generating WordPress website to support their kitchen and bath remodeling business. This was a full-scale web development project with a strong focus on scalability, local SEO, and user experience, all built using WordPress and Elementor Pro.In three weeks between July and August, 2025, I built Iconic Cabinetry a website that consisted of 40+ fully custom pages and included everything from content architecture and technical SEO to lead-generation systems and CRM integration.

Solution

When Iconic Cabinetry approached me, they had a dated website, unresolved technical SEO issues, and a negative experience with a previous developer. Navigation was clunky, internal linking was non-existent, and their online visibility was suffering, especially in their core service areas.

My solution was to completely rebuild the site on WordPress using Elementor Pro, backed by a custom content system powered by Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and custom post types. This allowed for a clean, scalable structure, one that could support hyperlocal SEO content, trust-building visuals, and conversion-focused user flows.

I established a clear, SEO-first content hierarchy and implemented parent pages for Products, Services, and Service Areas to create a logical, crawlable structure for both users and search engines. I created 20+ SEO-optimized city landing pages with unique content, schema markup, and localized keyword targeting. All this built using a single, reusable custom template for fast and efficient rollout.

To ensure the site would perform beyond launch day, I implemented a full on-page SEO strategy including metadata, headings, alt tags, and internal linking across all 40+ pages. I also injected JSON-LD schema via HTML and Code Snippets, covering LocalBusiness, FAQ, Services, Article, and Organization markup to maximize SERP visibility.

On the UX side, I introduced mobile-first quote forms, a sticky CTA bar, and a floating “Request a Quote” button site-wide to boost conversion opportunities across devices. Each page was designed to be lightweight, easy to scan, and conversion-friendly without compromising visual quality.

By combining SEO strategy, UX principles, and thoughtful CMS design, I delivered a scalable lead generation platform that both the client and their future marketers could easily update with performance, visibility, and usability baked in.
